Poipetis a boom town in North-western Cambodia, a crucial crossing point to neighbouring Thailand. People migrate to Poipet from poorer areas of the country, seeking new opportunities. It can be a dangerous place, a crossing also of human and drug trafficking. Among those who remain this side of the border, there are entire families living in the city’s landfill, living off the waste, dying of waste.
